Theory and operation
The precharge path raises DC-link voltage gradually before main contactors close; expected ratio and time are vehicle-specific.
Drive & Regeneration / Diagnostic guide
Use synchronized voltage and command data to judge inrush-control operation before READY.
Use this guide to organize evidence. Vehicle-specific high-voltage access, measurements and component isolation require OEM procedures, appropriate qualifications, rated PPE and approved test equipment.
GUIDE PURPOSE
Confirm vehicle state, operating conditions and the full DTC record before clearing evidence or opening the high-voltage system.

Capture pack voltage, DC-link voltage, precharge command, positive/negative contactor command and feedback on one time base.
Classify failures as missing permission, no voltage rise, slow rise, unexpected rise, feedback mismatch or collapse after main closure.
Avoid repeated precharge attempts when the system indicates a short, isolation fault or overheating component.
Specifications, connector access, disable sequences, wait times and allowable tests vary by model and voltage architecture.
